The Lighthouse Restaurant & Rooftop Bar
Hello! How is everybody? How are your weekends?
After our recent trip, Joel and I have been very busy handling the not so fun side of reality... Oh well. Life happens! But we still (occasionally) get to include the "fun factor" in our lives. And by fun I mean food. I love food. I worship food. And I am hungry 24/7. There is no other way around it. At this point of time I reckon Joel would want to insert an l-o-l followed by a million yeses.
So anyhoo! Last week we had Italian food — if you want precision: Southern Italian — at The Lighthouse Restaurant, apex (level 8) of The Fullerton Hotel Singapore. At the 8th floor, you will chance upon one of the oldest and smallest lifts in Singapore, and it's this lift which will be taking you right to the entrance of the restaurant. Talk about exclusivity!! It was a very romantic experience; classy, cozy, dim lights... Good vibes you guys. While waiting for your food orders to arrive, or if you would like to make a quick escape from crying babies/kids, head up to their rooftop bar for a drink or two, or three... Or none but take pictures! The view is pretty damn amazing.
OK shall we talk about what we ordered? For gli antipasti, we had the Antipasto, Lighthouse's signature antipasti platter which consists of fried calamari + proscuitto + mozzarella *Italian accent* perfetto! On to i secondi piatti, I had the Braciola di Maiale Salvia e Cipolline al Balsamico, which is pan-seared pork chop with sage butter baby vegetables and balsamic-glazed pearl onions. (annot. I had a very challenging time cutting up my meat. Blunt knife/tough meat?) Joel ordered the Agnello al Forno Rosmarino e Aglio; roasted rack of lamb, with rosemary potatoes, in light garlic sauce. Are you hungry already?!?!?!?!?
We skipped dessert time because we were too full. Right now the tummy, taste buds and I are living with regrets. But this also means we are definitely making a trip back to Lighthouse!
Alright nice chat! Have a happy new week ahead y'all.
