Waku Ghin Bar Date Night
If you are looking for a romantic place for date night, look no further! Waku Ghin bar makes my list of the top few bars in Singapore for date night and we have been there more than once! Waku Ghin is located at Marina Bay Sands (atrium), just above the casino. Waku Ghin itself is an exclusive fine-dining restaurant, ranked 39th on the coveted 'World's 50 Best Restaurants' list. Waku Ghin bar is located before the main dining room. The decor at Waku Ghin bar is splendidly beautiful, definitely a way to impress your date! Let me now walk you through our experience at Waku Ghin bar.
Upon reaching MBS, we took the lift next to the casino to level 2. Upon reaching level 2, we saw several other fine-dining restaurants and Waku Ghin was located all the way at the end (on the right side). We took a slow walk towards Waku Ghin and before we reached the entrance, BAM! The Waku Ghin staff opened the main door and welcomed us with a huge smile. We then took a seat at the bar counter where we marvelled at the beauty of the bar's decor.

The Waku Ghin bar offers an ala carte menu, mainly tapas items. We had the aburi, raw fish with vinegar and sprinkled salt, and the oysters. The staff told me that the oysters were french oysters and boy oh boy, they were AMAZING! The tenderness of each oyster melts in your mouth, they were so flavorful and fresh that they left a wonderful savoury after-taste . In short, your life will never be the same after you have tasted the oysters at Waku Ghin. Just thinking about it now makes me want to go back after I finish this post!!!!!
Waku Ghin bar is also famous for their drinks. Mocktails, cocktails and fruit juices are their specialty. They offer customization of your own cocktail(s) or fruit juice(s)! Just let the bartenders at Waku Ghin know; they are professionally-trained! My order was a simple Pineapple and Pear fruit juice mix. The fruit juice here does not taste like your average 'can be bought anywhere' freshly squeezed fruit juice. It is freshly squeezed but the Waku Ghin bartenders where they blend and mix it in such a way -- no foam, no residue -- allowing the fruit juice to turn out really smooth, it tastes like a cocktail! TRUST ME! IT IS A MUST TRY!!
To end the night, we had a special order (not a regular item!) of tapas style dessert! I feel that Waku Ghin's dedicated pastry chef has done a fantastic job on the presentation of their desserts. All in all, isn't Waku Ghin a perfect place for a date night? We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and we sincerely hope that this post gives you a rough idea of what the bar at Waku Ghin is like.
